What should I wear during my training sessions? 2018-10-24T10:34:59-05:00

Clothes that are comfortable and loose-fitting like athletic t-shirts and shorts. Some sweatshirts and sweatpants can restrict movement and cause overheating. Proper foot wear, such as running shoes or cross-trainers, is very important too.

How many times per week/month do I need to train with you?2018-10-24T10:35:59-05:00

That depends on your goals, your budget, and both of our schedules. Unlike most personal trainers, my PT contract does NOT obligate you to train with me a certain number of times per week/month.

Sessions expire 1 year from the date of purchase.

No. All personal training sessions (private, tandem, in-home and virtual) are NOT refundable. They are transferable.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule my session?2018-10-24T10:39:07-05:00

If you need to cancel or reschedule a particular session you must notify me by phone no less than 24 hours in advance, except in the case of an emergency. . . I understand sometimes “life happens”. If notification is not received 24 hours in advance, the client understands the session is forfeit.

How many sessions will it take until I see results?2018-10-24T10:40:19-05:00

The answer depends on what “results” you are looking for. Increased energy, weight loss, and strength gains may happen quickly, while recovering from a previous injury may take a bit longer. Your results are also dependent on your diet, consistency, and other physical activities.

Should I be sore after my workouts?2018-10-24T10:41:02-05:00

There are many factors involved: your fitness level, the types of exercises you perform, total exertion during your workout, stretches (before, during, and after), hydration, rest and nutrition. For some, muscle soreness is cause for concern, while others may believe that they didn’t work out hard enough. In my opinion, muscle soreness should not be used as an indicator of “how good of a workout” you had. Depending on your fitness level, muscle soreness could indicate a great workout OR over-training or the need to stretch more.

I had an injury. Can you work with me?2018-10-24T10:41:59-05:00

That depends on the type of injury and when it happened. You’ll want to contact your primary care physician before starting any type of exercise program.

How old do I need to be to train with you?2018-10-24T10:42:38-05:00
